Welcome to my webcomic, “Untitled”.
I grew up loving comics and wanted to do them for a living but after numerous failed attempts to enter the comic book industry, I gave up and worked as a freelance illustrator and then became a contemporary figurative painter. While watching “American Splendor”, a movie about the life of underground comic book writer Harvey Pekar and re-connecting with friends from The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon & Graphic Art, Inc. on facebook, I developed a renewed interest in comics and decided to launch a webcomic. Using this approach, I am able to apply my “Neo-Humanism” figurative painting style and my studies about modern art within a visual narrative format. The reason I call it “Untitled” is from the art world when an artist has no title for a painting, it is usually called ‘untitled’. “Untitled” allows me to free up possibilities for stories and visual imagery so I don’t feel restricted within one set genre or format.
